Ever since the high school, I have heard from my teachers, counselors and my parents about the importance of getting involved. My involvement in activities and community in school has helped me to meet open minded people, made me more responsible, and earned me great opportunities. Finding activates that you are passionate about is just very important in college. Since starting college, I have become involved with many clubs, such as biology club and nursing club. These have been some of my most valuable experiences since coming to college and have allowed me to meet some amazing people. I love getting involved on campus and outside of campus. In Psi Chi/ Psychology club I will have the chance to meet so many new people from a range of cultures and with different perspectives. In psychology club, all the people I encounter in activities and organizations will have different traits, which will be a great thing to learn from. I choose Internships because I think that it is the best ways to truly learn about the field from a real world standpoint. The classroom certainly teaches us important information, but I think there is something different about implementing those teachings with a real client or customer. I am looking forward to stepping out of my comfort zone and experience new things, out in the real world. In my opinion every experience you build on what you already know. Being involved is one way to learn outside of the classroom. By being a member of psychology club and doing undergrad internship, I will get a chance to put myself into the problem- solving situations or try something hands
