My Leadership Philosophy

Leadership is defined as, “the action of leading a group of people or an organization.” Being in a leadership position is something I value and strive for myself very greatly. The qualifications of being a leader does not always come naturally to everyone, and is something you work for. When I think of a true example of a leader there is a handful of attributes that I see in all of them. Blossoming into a leader in middle school is an extremely hard task. As I do believe the definition above is true to the meaning; the context of the word is of much more significance to me. Compassion, honesty, confidence, driven, invested, creative, engaged, influential, disciplined, character, respectful, and communicative are just a few. Confidence is a fundamental ideal, I agree with most. To be able to lead others you need to have the skill to state your case and be able to hold your ground without being pushed by others. However, in addition as you should hold firm in an agreement the ability to listen and be open is incredibly important to. As a leader you are there to help lead a group, and it’s best to stay a member of a group opposed to the dictator. Being engaged and creative is also critical as you should yearn to add the group and make it the finest it can. It is very easy to fall in suit with everyone else and become a leader, however it is much more challenging to follow your own path and become a leader. In middle school everyone is trying to figure out who they are what they want to be an who they want to be. In addition being an 8th grader there is more pressure than ever to decide before you move on to high school. Since I was young the two groups of people were very prominent. The individuals who fall in line with the others and the ones who dare to be different and pathe their own path. Stepping out in the crowd is a difficult thing to do and requires a strong person.
