COMPETITIVE POSITIONING The main competitors that we have identified in the transportation industry in Ottawa include: Ottawa Transit app The Ottawa Transit app is one of the most successful Bus Schedule application that is widely used across the city of Ottawa. The app was previously known as "My OC Transpo" and is a unique transit App that allows users to easily obtain real-time bus information regarding the bus schedule, bus arrival times and bus stop locations. The application basically operates by utilizing the GPS and GFTS data provided by OC Transpo to predict the real-time bus arrival times for Ottawa Transit riders. These strategies have been organized into a four-phased approach taken into consideration of our currently limited marketing resources currently. The four phases are based on the priority of each strategy, as well as the logical time sequence. The marketing strategies are as follows: Marketing iBusTime app to Ottawa Transit A key part of our marketing strategy is our negotiations with Ottawa Transit. We plan to negotiate a yearly contract agreement with Ottawa Transit. The use of this feature will allow Ottawa public transit to improve the services delivered to the riders. Additionally, the provincial government may also gain positive recognition for having a higher quality transit system.
