Computer Information Systems is my passion and major at Missouri State University. In the fall semester I am taking my last two general education courses. In the following semester I am taking strictly CIS classes and focusing on learning computer programs. My short term goal is to graduate college with a job in Springfield working on computers. My long term goal is to open a computer business that helps other businesses make transactions and accounting easier.

More than often people write about their solutions to coding problems on the internet so others can solve it. Someone with no knowledge about computers could look up tutorials on how to code and make apps for free. My mom is a Database Architect so I was fortunate to see firsthand what it is like to work in the computer field. Database Architects create new databases and programs for company’s that maximize efficiency. Another handy tool is Google, it is so useful that most people take it for granted. It is a big help to solving computer coding problems and figuring out the specific cause of the problem in a app or program.

PC Magazine, Linux Format, Macworld, PC Gamer, and Computer Shopper are publications that are popular and useful in the computer information systems field. In addition to those resources, there are many websites that benefit computer science or computer information system students like EasyBib, ExamTime, Web Design Tools, IT eBooks, and Google Drive. The internet is expanding and programs are getting easier to use. Not only are computers, apps, and phones getting easier to use, it is also getting easier to communicate which is helping the computer industry
