Nursing is a very unique profession and I believe that it is essential to understand and learn about different nursing theories to help guide nursing practice. Nursing philosophy is also very important and many factors may impact an individual 's perception regarding the nursing profession. Nursing is so much more than performing tasks, passing medication, and documenting. Many qualities are needed in order to deliver excellent quality care. Nurses are accountable for their actions and are responsible for continuing their education. My personal nursing philosophy continues to grow as I learn and gain experience. Overall, having some great qualities and an understanding regarding nursing will allow nurses to flourish and take care of their patients with compassion and understanding.
