I will learn the basics and fundamentals of coding, so I can go into a class and apply it. Second place is to take a computer science class at UNCC to get the experience. This is where I will learn how to code from teachers and use the lab to apply my studies and notes on there. Others should be open to learn how to code because technology is evolving and will be with us for a long time.
Computer programing is a safe field because as Picchi explains, “The job outlook is strong, with the Bureau of Labor Statistics projecting that employment will expand by 20 percent through 2022” (Picchi 2015). With an expanding field, individuals are now more able to plan a career path resulting in an alternative to college education. This is appealing considering an individual can begin programing at any age. As Piccchi explains, “Talent and coding knowledge is more important than a college degree.
Attending college has been an ongoing dream throughout my life. Reaching the big leagues would be one of my major goals and accomplishments. I wish to become a software engineer and follow my dreams to achieve success. Coding and engineering have continually given me comfort in my heart and have allowed me to escape personal challenges. As a high school student, kids are always asked if they know what they would like to pursue as a career. Many students still don't know the answer to that question by the end of their high school years. Others have a clue at what they would like to do, including me. I know that I like to work with computers, and that I’m highly interested in how computers and networks operate. I did my senior exit project on building my own computer
• what is your reaction to this quote? To me this quotation means we can express our ideas and find an effective approach to help children to learn more things. “Articulating the teacher and learning process is congruent with being able to explain your programming process” (Dietze and Kashin, 2016. P. 230).
As I sit by the ocean, listening to the sounds of the waves crashing and the seagulls swaying in the breeze, I am reminded of the beauty and power of nature. In a world that seems to be dominated by technology, it is often easy to forget just how important nature is to our well-being. For me, nature is not just a place to escape from the chaos of modern life; it is a way of life that I have come to rely on more and more as I have grown older. Growing up, I was always fascinated by nature. I loved nothing more than spending hours exploring the mountainside behind my house or going to the ocean with my family.
Possibly, my previous skills and knowledge will defiantly help me to explore more in the program and further. During high school, I went to abundant workshops and projects that focused on using basic technological tools, designing apps, and creating our own web site. That learning experiences added to my background, education and gave me the encouragement to study Information Technology since we are in the Information Age or Digital Age. I have plenty of goals that I want to achieve during my academic years of studying the Bachelor of Information Technology. Through researching on the Internet, I found that this program, training students of computer systems and applications, which will give myself the expertise that I need in developing my abilities to solve networking problems and improve technology and services.
To me, programming seems to align with everything in my life that was lacking security, normality, and “syntax.” Growing up acquainted with PTSD has allowed me to push through difficult times and stay determined. I believe that a person’s future is not based on the opportunities and privileges given to them but rather, the opportunities that they seek and go after. Therefore, my unfamiliarity with the world of computer science doesn’t stop me from being optimistic with my future scholastic success. I want to excel in a male dominant industry and be able to be in the position to empower other young women to go after their dreams.
I was part of the mechanical aspect of the club which involved making the skeleton of a robot. I really like it and would have pursued a major in mechanical engineering until I met with coding. I took a course of C++ and it opened up a world of opportunity to me about computer science. From there on, I continued to take computer science classes rest of my high school and I learned a lot.
With the study of computing, along with such areas as programming, and the correlation with computer systems, it is something I’ve always had an interest in, throughout many years of my life, but at times felt unsure if I would be able to develop a career from this. I first had to make a decision if it was something I wished to pursue at the point of GCSE subject selection. My teachers strongly advised me to choose this subject, as they knew I was the type of student to excel greatly into the future with this. I was soon proven to be correct in taking the advice given.
Perseverance through the highs and lows of life is a quality that is not easily attained. This is a quality that takes time and reflections, one that I am tuning as I go through college and onwards on my path to becoming a physician. However, this comes with experience, moments in our lives where we are on our feet one second and then fall down the next but manage to get back up. This is one of the various reasons I am interested in becoming a fellow. I admire the fact that students are expected to do things on their own, to build connections at home and overseas, to be able to persevere through problems that occur, and at the same time delve into a research topic and personalize it to their interests.
I have wanted to be teacher since I was in first grade. At that age I really didn’t know what a career was, but I just knew I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. Now I know the reason I want to be a teacher is because I want to inspire children. Not only that I think children are extremely smart, charismatic, and can make any day a good day. I love children, which is why my major is elementary education and I want to be able to help as many as I can which is why I want an ESL endorsement.
An inevitable part of being a high school senior is the question “ What do you want to be when you grow up?” a question hasn’t intimidated me since i was 6 years old. With my fellow teenagers, i spend these conversations praying they don’t ask me what I plan to do post-graduation, because i plan on becoming a High school History teacher. Unsurprisingly, nothing is more abhorrent to high school seniors than the idea of going through college just to come right back to high school as a teacher. I’ve learned to expect the brief pause followed by a look of genuine confusion and concern, then a thorough interrogation.
Technology is the future, it’s the fast growing highest grossing job market today. So a degree in technology provides you with a solid career in the professional world while instilling the skills needed to moonlight your passions with video games. At least until you become a success and can devote all your time to video game development. I picked software engineering and programming in particular because it is a unique skill that allows people to creatively solve the world’s problems while finding new ways to entertain people. Programming is poetry and the precision of math in action.
