My Role As A School Support Assistant Personal Statement

I was responsible for developing the financial models supporting the University’s 2020 strategy for TNE and online growth. This included developing new models from scratch that incorporated the various different and new programme delivery methods that Napier was planning on adopting. I was required to take the information and market knowledge of the Dean of the Business school then work with the International Operations Lead and the finance team to produce a rigorous and costed plan, which highlighted the risks and rewards of shared service centres. My role as a School Support Assistant is split between supporting the School and supporting the Overseas Delivery Unit. Although time management has played an important part in ensure I could provide a high quality service, I also took two different approaches. To support the ODU I have attempt to build relationships as if I was a part of their team. I have attended team meetings, group training and contributed to resolving issues facing the ODU that did not directly impact on my role. To support the Business School most of my work has to be carried out independently due to semi specialised financial nature.
I have used a variety of information systems throughout my career, Crystal Reporting, Agresso, Navision, Vantage, SITS, Cognos and many more. I used these systems and databases to manage a wide range of resources (staff, inventory, sales and accounting transactions). I have and implemented testing, produced user specifications, assisted with interface design and built interactive reporting tools.
