There are about 205,000 people who work as a nurse practitioner in the US. I do not know about you, but I would like to make the number increase up to 205,001. For many young girls, like myself, want to help save lives and we don’t even have to save their life but just help them. This is why a nurse practitioner would be the best job too have. They don’t do major surgeries or anything like that but they do help just enough to keep someone healthy.
My long term goals are to acquire my Doctorate of Nursing Practice after completing the Master of Science in Nursing: Family Nurse Practitioner concentration program. I would use my advance practice license in a clinical setting and later give back and share my knowledge and expertise in an educator role. I enjoy educating others greatly; one of the most gratifying components of nursing. Meeting my short term and long term professional and academic goals would be highly rewarding. Knowing I was able to conquer a rigorous nursing program like Maryville University and now having the tools to play a vital role in helping others achieve optimal health would provide
My long-term goal is to be a successful person who will contribute back to society. I can become a King of a Nation and not give back, or I can become a janitor but help motivate kids at school to work harder and the next Barack Obama maybe one of
My Future Career, Nurse Practitioner A nurse practitioner is a nurse with a graduate degree in advanced practice nursing. When I was little I always said I wanted to become a nurse practitioner. It was something about being able to help patients overcome their illnesses that interested me the most.
Healthcare is one of the fastest growing professions in the world, but everyday students are being turned down because there are not enough nurse educators. A career as a nurse educator is more diverse than any other degree. It requires lifelong learning, a kind heart and loving what you do. It is not an easy career choice, but a challenge that I look forward to embracing.
Career Goals: As a career goal I am interested in being a pediatric oncologist. When I was younger I learned about my passion for learning and research. Because I learned this about myself at a very young age I decided to find a career that is research and learning based. Being a doctor is constantly learning, excitement through new patient portfolios. Everyday I will learn about someone new and find different ways to plan an attack.
Nursing Management The first problem for this patient is disturbed sensory perception related to Schizophrenic Disorder as evidenced by auditory hallucinations. Short-term goals for this problem would be that the patient will be able to verbalize the efficacy and potential side effects of at least one of her medications. Nursing interventions for this goal would be the nurse asking and educating the patient on her medication and by the end of shift asking the patient to verbalize the understanding and benefits behind one medication.
Life has its twists and turns, but my overall life goal is simple, help others. I want to make an impact on others life, even if it is a small change. For instance, being able to hold a pencil is the difference between a student being able to graduate from Kindergarten and not be able to continue on to first grade. Being a Pediatric occupational therapist will help me make an impact on children at a very young age. Even small changes can have a large impacts, which is why I want to be that change for others.
One of my personal goals is to get into Nursing school. In order to do that I know I will need to work hard and be determined during school, both now and during college. Knowing that nursing school is hard to get into, I'm positive that; my hard work, determination, and ability to work well with others, are things that I will bring to this school, and things that will help me reach my goal. Another one of my goals is to get out of my shell and meet new people. I feel that with this campus having everything so close together it will make it a lot easier to go out and meet people, which I really appreciate.

Academic Goal The academic goal I have set forth is to do my very best in all my courses only A’s and B’s. This way I will have increased my odds in being accepted into multiple nursing programs so I can take the right step in achieving my first career goal as an ER rn . I believe this is a realistic goal as long I apply myself and stay dedicated I know I can reach that goal.
My long term goal would be to assist with the elderly as I’m very drawn to the geriatric community. My faith in Jesus Christ has guided me to fulfill my passion in becoming a nurse. I truly believe that becoming a nurse will help me to completely understand the value of human life. I
I hope to start off in a career of investment banking to develop the network and skills it would take to be in more of a strategic role in a company and then pursue my Masters in Business Administration to transition into more corporate strategy opportunities in the social sector. Other than career goals, I hope to continue to be the caring person that I am and strive to foster stronger relationships with those around me. My vision for myself in my personal life is to be able to be a person that you can count on to make your day better. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said: "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well."
My career goal is to become a registered nurse. While I have not currently picked a concentration, I am leaning towards pediatrics or labor and delivery. Going to NYIT would help me with this goal because I would be able to earn my bachelor degree in nursing and then take the NCLEX and hopefully become a licensed, registered nurse. I want to become a nurse in order to help people. Ever since I was a child I have wanted to make a difference and help others who are in need.
