As a twelve year old child, I remember in science class always waiting to learn about the planets. That was my favorite topic, space has a lot of cool things about it that can't really be compared to anything else, I mean my girlfriend is cooler but still space is right there. I started to study the moon and the Apollo missions (All six of them) and I thought those missions were so incredible. Humans were pushing so hard to travel into space, but then the 1970’s hit. During the 70’s Nasa’s budget would be cut down so much that NASA could no longer reach the moon and the two other planned missions wouldn't happen. If NASA still had the 4% budget that it once had, things would be so much different now; we would be on mars at this point. With the money gained in a budget increase we can do so much more to understand us like send robots to distant worlds to collect samples, this is useful because the more knowledge we can gain about other planets can be transferred into knowledge about our planet. We can also send probes to other worlds to look at the planets, this way we can gain knowledge about the atmosphere and how the way the planet came to be the way it is, this helps us understand how our planet become what it is today. Then with a budget increase we can make missions longer, this helps us because the longer we can stay on a planet the more we can understand it and the more knowledge we gain about the planets surface and the way the planet works helps us understand how and why earth is the way it is compared to other
