Radio has been around for decades. It is something we all have interacted with at some point in our lives. Radio stations have problems that need help being fixed. This report addresses the problems facing KFJM (90.7 FM), a public radio station in Grand Forks, which is a member station of NPR and Prairie Public. This will be accomplished by observing what NPR stations needs to do to still exist in the current digital age. It debuted with a range of genre pages, features, and content” (Cwynar n.p.). This shows that NPR sees that they need to get with the times and transition into the more effective forms of media. Cwynar also discusses how this transition has helped NPR. “As of October 2015, NPR Music was attracting around 3.5 million unique users per month and accounting for 12% of the traffic on the broader npr.org site. While the site covers a variety of genres including NPR’s traditional strengths in classical and jazz, its success has been driven by its popular music features All Songs Considered, Tiny Desk, and the First Listen series.
