Ascending his way through the ranks of the military, Napoleon Bonaparte I rose to prominence during the French Revolution. Through various and successful campaigns, Napoleon gained the support from the people of France to crown himself emperor in May 18th, 1804. In spite of gaining endorsement from the French, many of Napoleon’s actions are in contrast with the propriety of the modern era; however, the fact remains that he has reformed and rectified the country, and his good service exceeds that of his bad.
