In the book Animal Farm By George Orwell, Napoleon preferred to work behind the scenes to build his power through manipulation and deal making, just like Joseph Stalin. Snowball on the other hand devotes himself to winning popular support through his ideas, passionate speeches, success in debates against his opponents, like leon Trotsky. Snowball works within the political system, while Napoleon willingly does not. Napoleon knows the role of force in political control, which he made clear by using attack dogs to deprive snowball from the farm. Napoleon cleary has bullying tendencies, but telling from the author's text he does not allow us to see Snowball as a preferable alternative. Snowball did nothing to prevent the consolidation
