It was hot Sunday afternoon in Saraland, Alabama with the temperature reaching almost 100 degrees. The sky was a clear crisp blue with no clouds in sight allowing the sun to beam down and shine over Bayou Sara. Bruce, my boyfriend, and I decided to take the boat out for a river day. We stopped a few places along the way to stock up on snacks, drinks, and to eat lunch before getting out on the water. It was around one in the afternoon when we finally made it to the boat launch. It was so hot that as soon as we got out of the truck you could feel the humidity, thus making my hair to stick to the back of my neck and also causing my hands to clam up. My Boyfriend unloaded the boat into the water while I held the rope connected to the boat on the dock so it would not float away while he parked the truck and boat trailer. Once he returns he climbs into the boat and starts the motor to warm it up before we leave from the launch. We make our way around Bayou Sara checking out all the scenery and scouting for new places to fish. We had never launched here before so it was new territory to us. Bruce picks a nice shaded area close to shore perfect for bass fishing. He turns the motor off, hands me my pole, and we take our designated fishing spots – Bruce on the front of the boat controlling the trolling motor and me sitting on the back enjoying myself. Bruce catches a bass so I turn on the live-well, which pumps water from the river into a compartment so the fish will stay alive. We fish for about thirty to forty-five minutes, peacefully drifting down the bank (with help from the trolling motor) casting out our lines and reeling them back in hoping for a bite. Eventually we get tired of the same spot and decided to move on to the
