I’m into makeup and I’m a Man I was a teen ladled with a myriad of insecurities – I still am, actually. From the way I walk, to the way I talk; nothing ever truly passed from my mind without me scrutinizing it to the point of exhaustion and conclusion. Added with teasing and name-calling that I endured from family and friends, no wonder I have never stopped second guessing my actions and decisions pertaining to my appearance.
In my early teen days, my skin started reacting to puberty and hormonal changes. I had zits, acnes, whiteheads, blackheads, pigmentation scars, indented scars, and even lines! Believe me, they were looking and countless friends were shocked and complimented on how I look if I choose to go out in a full getup.
Unfortunately, nothing in this world comes for free and cosmetics will never be cheap. I have started slowly, only buying what I can with the money that I have at the moment, but saving was never an issue for me since I have trained myself to save if I want to buy something. Currently, my technique is to save for a year and buy in bulk. If I tally all my purchases together, my makeup bag and all its content would worth more than RM6, 000 not including skincare.
