Migrating to Australia and going on a plane for the first time was like winning a million dollar lottery ticket. At that time due to the political disruptions and corruptions in Nepal, everyone were desperate to migrate to a developed country for the better of their family's future.At that time only one out of five of the Nepalese citizens probably had been on a plane and some of them probably did not even no what a plane was. So amongst those people and families, my family was very lucky to get that rare opportunity to settle in a highly developed country like Australia and also for me it was my first time travelling on a jet plane which was a marvellous opportunity. My journey began at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu(KTM), where all my close relatives were there to say good bye to us,it was a moment of mixed feelings. I could honestly not figure out why I was so happy when all of my all of my relatives were crying including my parents who had tears on their eyes even though we all knew it was for the better of our family's future,especially for my good future. After completing the immigration processes,we stayed at the waiting lounge for approximately two hours before we boarded the flight by climbing the ladders as there were no ramps connected to the gates in the KTM airport. The flight from Kathmandu to Bangkok was 3 hours long. During that period I occupied myself by looking outside the plane window(s) until anything could be seen and I kept on calling the flight attendants by pressing the button,which I really enjoyed as it was very unique for me until my mum said that you should only press that button for help or emergency.
