During the peak of summer, I awoke early in the morning to find that the sun had yet to rise. I continued my regular morning routine, but today was different. After many years of waiting, my family decided to visit United States, California. A great amount of time had passed since we took our last family trip. Despite the fact that it was the day of departure, it was a relatively calm morning. The feeling of being up before the sun added to the already tranquil mood. After getting my things together, I headed downstairs to eat breakfast. At this point, it was pretty obvious that today would be a long day; beginning my day with a hearty breakfast was a given. However, I quickly became aware of the situation. Sitting in a van for extended periods of time, awfully close to my siblings was not exactly my idea of comfort. Next, the van also had little to no space for me to extend my legs. As time passed, I grew more irritated, my seat was uncomfortable and my legs were cramping. Besides this, the drive to California was also awfully long. After a couple hours of driving, my family would exit the car for a break, I was absolutely elated every time I exited the car. The air outside the car was refreshing. The time to enter the car would arrive once again and it was time to repeat the routine. Eventually, the only thing on my mind was how much time there was left before my family would stop to rest again. Small things would irritate me while sitting in next to my siblings. Something that most disturbed me was when any of our body parts ended up touching. Hours would go by and my father was stayed persistent. If no one told him to stop, it is safe to say that he would not have rested for hours on end. Due to his persistence, however, we were able to reach Eugene, Oregon by the end of the day. To regress back to the topic of patience, before this trip I would become irritated by drives that were only an hour or two long. During my vacation, I learned to appreciate small things that caught my eye on my way to my destination. Moreover, I also learned to relate
