Man vs. Food vs. Literacy -A Battle of Wits Imagine disproportionate humans, talking animals, animated objects, all set in a colorful vivid world. Now put yourself in the mind of a child, it’s as a real as it can get for them. In my eyes, as a child whose imagination corresponds with the reality that is presented to me, I was gullible. Genuinely, I believed in creatures from another world truly coexisted with humans. My favorite creatures were vampires, dragons, unicorns and talking animals. As a child, I enjoyed watching a copious number of children shows that the new generation of kids don’t watch today. Shows such as Caillou, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and The Berenstain Bears. These shows, also made into books, satisfied my innocent curiosity just the same as the television shows did. Personally, “The Berenstain Bears” were one of my favorites. In …show more content…

It’s better to purchase foods that are not processed and put in plastic containers, metal cans or any other packaging. After people are done with it, where does the trash go? In landfills. And where do the landfills go once it’s reached full capacity and begins to harm the environment? Nowhere. It takes many years for metal and plastic to decompose so ultimately its better to buy foods that have as little packaging as possible. Typically, these are the healthier food options because they haven’t been fed with chemicals, processed and are the freshest they can be. However, they are also more expensive. In reality, if you want to eat clean and healthy food, you better be ready to cough up more money and at the same time, destroy the environment. Privilege doesn’t just earn you a position in life, it guides you, molding a better life for you, a life where not only are you happy, but your body is too.
