Looking back on my life thus far, I noticed that I’ve had to learn everything the hard way to be successful in my endeavors. For a brief and exhilarating explanation of this, I’m going to tell you the story of the first time I went snowboarding. I was around the age of 6 years and had previously skied, but because two of my older brothers were snowboarders, I figured it was due time I became one myself. Especially after obtaining the presumptive knowledge that the younger you learn something, the easier it is to pick it up. So, on one trip to Hespurus, I decided to rent snowboard equipment instead of the usual skiing ensemble. Once I found some satisfactory boots, a helmet that suited my puerile noggin, and a snowboard that measured just slightly below my nose, I was ready to do the sliding test. Just as I was nearing the exit of the lift area, the edge of my snowboard caught some ice, and not only did it cause me to fall, but it also made my brother Jaz wipe out. We sat there for a couple of minutes trying to get out of the way of others departing the lift. We moved toward the top of the ski hill to strap in and meet up with Andrew, from there we decided to go on a Green trail, the easiest trail difficulty. The trail we choose was structured similarly to a road within a canyon. It was a long, mostly flat, stretch that curved like a snake zig-zagging down a hill. I started strong and descended the trail without falling, but once I approached the first turn, I couldn’t figure out how to move myself and my snowboard to curve around the edge. I ended up running into the side of the trail but thankfully it was all snow so I wasn’t injured. I quickly got up and continued down the trail until I neared the second curve. I tried my hardest to make that turn, but I couldn’t physically do it, and this time I didn’t run into a snow
