Globally Healthcare System is a national and international issues that affect many people around the world and they are curiously ask themselves why can’t they have the easy access to the vulnerable health care systems .As we move smoothly toward the new Millennium [MLM], the health care systems have placed a tremendous burden in the society. Most of all Colombian policyholders have the same basic health care plan, which includes medical, dental and vision care. Private companies offer premium policies that allow people to have the basic coverage. For example, basic insurance does not cover the cost of LASIK eye surgery; however, it covers some premium plans and pay a portion of the cost. The rest of the fees should be paid out of the patient’s pocket.( International Living,2014). Health care is delivered as followed: All health plans can cover the person, once this particular person is assigned to a plan and at least has one beneficiary- spouse, a minor child, dependent parent or a partner at no extra cost. If the policyholder has been married and have three minor children, a single policy can cover the whole family. Dependent employees should pay 12. 5% of their salary and 8.5 % paid by the employer and 4% paid by the employee. What is fully right is that the independent workers must pay the entire 12.5% from their own funds. Furthermore, to understand well Colombian health, it is very important to comprehend the way and how Colombian people view health. How do they perceive the quality of their health culturally? Due to the new constitutional reforms generated in 1991, it has been documented that each person’s health is a basic human right that applied to all citizens and foreign residents. It is considered as a groundbreaking decision that paved the way for every living creature in Colombia to have access to the health care system in Colombia. People also testified that the reform of health insurance considered as a new adventure for them because they can get access to health care easily and being able to see their Doctors at a low cost. Some clients testified that they received good care and contemplate their health. It has been reported that people can buy private insurance and pay approximately $ 25 out of their pockets for basic services such as medications, dental checks up. On the other hand, some people purchase their insurance through private entity and for some employees their employers’ pay 8.5 % then the employees pay about 12.5% differences of their salary and so on.
