Though teen pregnancy rates are rising in the United States, organizations and people are coming together, with a strong word to reduce and prevent teen pregnancy. There are hundreds, maybe even thousands of teen pregnancy prevention groups and organizations, but there are two that caught my attention the most. The National Campaign and Advocates for Youth both discuss teen pregnancy as a whole, but the each have a different approach. In the following paragraph I will compare the two organizations, giving information and details for both groups. Both of the following organizations The National Campaign is a group to prevent teen and unplanned pregnancy. The site elaborates on how to help prevent, what we can do to help prevent, and what the reasoning behind teen pregnancy. The National Campaign also shows statistics on pregnancy rates, the use of birth control and condoms, as well as political statements. Advocates for Youth is also an organization that promotes and helps prevent teen pregnancy. It goes into detail about how to prevent teen pregnancy and some of the main …show more content…

They also go more in depth with the use of birth control, listing the rate of usage and the prevention rate also. When getting into teen pregnancy, laws can be brought up, well The National Campaign has federal and state policies on their website. There is more depth in The National Campaign’s information and studies. Advocates for Youth discusses teen pregnancy prevention in an educational form. They speak more about sex education classes and more official ways of prevention than doing it by yourself. Also, I have noticed Youth Activism is spoken of throughout this organization, pushing that more teens need to help promote pregnancy prevention with teenagers.
