Getting nominated by my professors and other school leaders to be a candidate for membership in the National Honor Society is a great honor for me. It means that I have acquired my goal of demonstrating my determination and persistence. I believe that I will be able to become a valuable member of the National Honor Society even though I haven't fully developed all the qualities required by this prestigious organization. Although I haven’t fully developed all the qualities, I believe that the National Honor Society will help me achieve the growth and development I need in the qualities required. The qualities required by this organization are scholarship, leadership, character and service abilities.
One skill I know I'm good at is the scholarship skill, I know that I haven't always had perfect grades or a high GPA, but I have improved and I know I can keep improving until I've achieved excellence. I’m a really hard-working student, and I accomplish the goals I have set for myself. I have really high standards for myself and I won't give up until I've reached every single one of them. I'm a very patient person and I'm not easily influenced by others. I don't have any trouble working with others but I love working alone. It also shows that you’re an involved citizen and are committed to the community. I believe that being able to do an act of kindness could benefit your own personal health, both psychological and physical. I lack a little in this skill because I'm not fully involved in the community, but I do pick up the trash in a park, and I’ll help someone when they're struggling and I really enjoy doing things that make a change in people's lives, even if it's just a little
