Participating in social services for orphanages and homes for elders have been experiences that build my character. By helping others I help myself be a better person, and get new prespectives of life. Being part of the National Honor Society comes with its benefits and responsibilities. I am prepared to take both and fulfill them as best as I can. I will hopefully have the opportunity to be a part of your community of outstanding people.
Being a candidate for the National Honor Society is a tremendous honor for me. Since I began high school, it has been a goal of mine to be a part of this amazing organization. Being involved in my school and community has always been important to me, and any chance I get to further my involvement is great. I believe that NHS is the perfect opportunity for me to serve others and help better our community. I understand that a member of NHS shows qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
The National Honor Society is built upon four founding principles: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. I have a high school life filled with dedication to these four principles on the Spiritual standpoint, the Familial level, the Community level and finally at the National level. Moreover, I did begin my dedication to these same four principles even before this starting with the Boy Scouts of America and this commitment will continue along with having a rich future when I reach my fullest potential. I firmly believe that to have academic excellence is giving your best effort to maintain not just having straight As and a high GPA at or close to the edge of attaining a 4.0, but to also have the skills that help you perform your very best in college and beyond. National Junior Honors Society needs people who are hard working, and are ready to get the job done. I should be considered to be in National Junior Honors Society because I show scholarship and leadership, I have done many community service activities, and I show character and citizenship. I have done many activities involving scholarship and leadership. I am in violin, chorus, and other in-school and after school activities. This means I am familiar with other sides of school, and I can share my experiences and try to make them fit into what we do/what is done in NJHS.
National Junior Honor Society is the start of everything. This group helps set me up for my years to come. Being in the NJHS it helps me get into the one in high school, which looks really good one college applications. Having national junior honor society for both middle school and high school would give me a better chance to get into a college I really want to get into. I’ve always wanted to be someone who could help or make a change in this world, instead of just trying to get through life easy.
There are several different qualities that make up who I am as a person, but there are four that stand out when it comes to being a National Honor Society member. These include character, leadership, scholarship and service. To begin with, I feel that character is an important quality to possess. In school, I have never been written up for violating code or have served a school detention/suspension and I hope not to in the future.
What I see as the function of the National Honor Society is to encourage young adults like myself to participate more within their school and community. It allows students the ability to give and serve other people that have done so for them. This group will give many students an eye opening experience on volunteering for fellow citizens. If I were to be selected into the National Honor Society, I would contribute to the group by sharing ideas and giving useful feedback to the other students in the group. I would also provide personal experiences of certain voluntary services that I have completed, if needed.
It is a great honor to be considered for acceptance into the F.A. Verplanck Chapter of the National Honor Society. Being apart of this means more than just having outstanding grades. Even though it is an important factor, aspects like leadership, community, and character is also what shapes this organization and the people in it to be a well rounded individual. I feel as if I possess all of these characteristics and I will make me positive contribution into the National Honors Society.
It is an honor to be nominated for the National Honor Society. The fact that I was nominated proves to me that all of my hard work and dedication has not been for nothing. The National Honor Society is known for recognizing students who strive to achieve their best not only in school but in themselves and the community. I believe that I’m one of those students. Based upon my last two year at Matawan Regional I now have a 3.9 GPA and am ranked in the top 20% of my graduating class.
Every week I spend time at the Morristown Medical Center as a volunteer, where I am able to help keep things functioning in the hospital at the highest speed possible and hopefully brighten a few patients’ days. Also, I’ve enjoyed helping refereeing youth basketball games for the past two seasons and being able to talk with the kids. It is a great opportunity to give back to a program which gave me so much in the five years I played in it when I was younger. Furthermore, I am excited for even more opportunities to have an impact on my community which being a part of National Honor Society would aid in.
I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.
The first reason why I should be in National Junior Honor Society is because of my leadership skills. The first example of my leadership skills are applied to my youth group in the Cecilton Parish. I am the treasurer and help with the Ideas for fundraising. We, as a group held a spaghetti dinner for the church and I managed the money and the setting. Pursuing this further, I actively show leadership in school.
Today I am deeply humbled to be recognized as a potential member of the National Honor Society. To me this means I have exemplified everything you look for in a student who goes above and beyond, not just in academics but in athletics, the community and at home as well. I have not taken this selection for granted, as I believe would be a great asset to the National Honor Society. I am hardworking, honest, reliable and quite charismatic too. I hold all the qualities required by the distinguished NHS like leadership, service, character and scholarship.
To be in National Junior Honor Society you have to have good character, citizenship,service, and leadership. First, I have good character. I take criticism willingly, and I also welcome recommendations. Second, I demonstrate citizenship well. Civic involvement is very important, and I have high regard to freedom, justice, and respect for the American form of government.
I believe I display all of the qualities mentioned in the four pillars of National Honor Society. I am a person of good character who displays the six pillars of character in everything I do. I provide leadership and service in many ways and value education as a lifelong learner. Being a member of the National Honor Society would motivate me even more to be the best version of myself and help to create change in positive
