I am honored to be nominated for National Technical Honor Society. I have learned and expanded my knowledge of graphic design and the basics of art. I am in the Design and Creative Media program. We learn about basic art skills of design and Adobe suite programs. I have not only increased my knowledge as an art student but I have learned real life business skills in graphic design as well as many opportunities paths I can take in the art field. CTE has been an amazing experience and can’t wait for the second year program in Design and Creative Media. I choose positive attitude as a worker trait because that is a trait I strive in. I want good grades and if I want those good grades I have to tackle and work hard for them. Keeping that positive attitude keeps me going knowing I can have good grades just like others. I am a glass half full type of person and that really helps me in life to remind myself to keep going to strive for more and reach that bigger goal in life. My career goal is to become an art teacher. I love working with kids and art is a passion that I would love to share and teach others. CTE is helping a lot because I am learning new techniques and art skills that will help me in teaching. Even though we do most things on the computer we still get to learn the basics of art. We learned about elements and principles of design, which is something that kids at younger ages need to know in order to make a great art piece. We also learned about color theory and drawing realistically. I am also learning how to improve my collaboration with others. In class, we work with others to expand on ideas when you may not have many for an assignment. Applying this to teaching kids would be if I gave the kids
