In Arizona, they would make their houses out of mud, rock, wood animal skins, bark, clay, and grass, which looked like cones, while in Washington, they would make their houses out of logs or split-log frames, covered with split log planks, and sometimes an additional bark cover, which were longhouses. When North and South America came into contact with the Europeans, many changes happened in good and bad ways. When the Europeans arrived in North America, they used their more advanced weapons to take control of the people and force them to work for the Europeans. But when the Europeans came, so did diseases that had spread and killed thousands of Indigenous people. Because of this, many Indigenous people died, and many more were forced to do forced labor. The Columbian Exchange also happened because of European contact. The Columbian Exchange helps share many different cultures and things such as food, plants, livestock, and more around the world. Because of the Columbian Exchange, the world is what we know today; if the Columbian Exchange didn’t happen, we would be living in a whole different
