A. Naturalization Act of 1790 was about giving citizenship to foreigners. Some requirement was that the person had to be white, good morals, and lived in America for one to two years. A excluded detail that indentured servants were not considered as citizens. The meaning behind the 3/5 Compromise was that for every five slaves only three votes could count. This agreement was due to the North not wanting to pay more taxes for their slaves and South’s fear of the North’s overrepresentation if slaves were allowed to vote. These two are related because slaves were not considered as people, but property. Added to that point, because they are property and not “White”, they technically are not considered as U.S citizen. The significance of this is that 3/5 Compromise occurred before the naturalization Act of 1790 was in place. During the 1787, even though slaves were considered as property, they were allowed to vote, which gave a bit of freedom. C. Woman has came to represent the foundation of the American nation like when Native American women got respect from men and did not just do household chores. The Native American women would do the same work the men would do like hunting and building stuff. The daughter of liberty, influenced by the Boston tea party, broke out the motherly cycle by selling handmade items and boycotting British products and textiles. Abagail Adams, different from all the other mothers, is also one of the most important womanly figure in American history. She was educated, still did household chores, raised the children, and helped maintain businesses.
