There are many reasons to not take an opportunity, but if you do not know the outcome, why not give it a shot? Everyone is born with intelligence called nature intelligence, its what you are born with. Nurture intelligence is the intelligence you gain as you get older. Learning is apart of life and there are many ways to learn and gain experience and mainly through taking risks at good opportunities. Would you take a risk for a possible better outcome?

Although you can not change someone or who they are does not mean the surgery had a negative impact. You can not change someone, they are born with certain intelligence that can not be changed. Trying to change that intelligence can cause in an negative impact, as it did in the story. Charlie lost the intelligence given to him and some of the born intelligence he was given decreased as a result of his regression. Many people may consider this the reason that the surgery had a negative impact. The current science suggests that intelligence is something that can improve. It does take hard work, but not brain surgery.” The article is trying to express that everyone has the ability to learn and it takes hard work. Everyone learns differently. The article is also explaining “Yet, many people still hold on to the idea that intelligence is fixed. They think they’re either smart or not smart. And there’s not much they can do about it.” These two quotes help explain how having a fixed mindset about wanting to get smart will help you be more driven to challenging your brain to get smarter. Many people may also agree that the surgery may have been unnecessary. Meaning that Charlie wanted to be smart and worked hard but always had the mindset that he was not smart, wondering why he was not as smart as everyone else.
