In the 1920s the Nazi party stood for uniting Germany and Austria. The first point in the twenty point programme says ‘We demand the union of all Germans in a Great Germany on the basis of the principle of self-determination of all peoples.’ This shows that the first thing Hitler would want to do as soon as he gets into power is to unite Germany and Austria, because he thinks that Austria was originally a part of Germany but then it was separated to be independent, this proves that Hitler thinks Austria & Germany make the whole of Germany and the Austrians are equal to the German.
