The impact of the Columbian Exchange was the most important event in the forming of the Americas due to the introduction of new plants, animals, people, and technology in the 15th and 16th centuries. While many remember the Colombian Exchange for its negative effects like slavery and disease epidemic, many forget that without it, European diets woulnt have improved which means many would have died from starvation.
