In the late 1400s, the people of Europe had discovered a new world. This new world was full of new animals, plants, and even people. The explorers of Europe wanted to take advantage of these new lands and goods, and so the Columbian Exchange was put into effect. The Columbian exchange was the term used to describe the exchange of goods and ideas between the New World (aka The Americas) and the Old World (aka Europe, Asia and Africa). Now the real question is, did the Columbian exchange do more harm than good? Well when you look at documents and records or just research, it really shows that the Columbian Exchange really did more harm than you think. This event is something that changed the world forever.
