This essay will discuss the various negative impacts of New York’s Reproductive Health Act. New York’s Reproductive Health Act has caused many negative effects based on the issue of abortion. The idea of abortion has been a problematic political matter for years on end and has led to the establishment of many laws. There are many instances throughout the Bible where killing another human is condemned, especially the innocent. For example, in Exodus 20:13 God commanded that his people shall not murder. God directly commanded humanity to not kill others. Lead in, “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.” (The Holy Bible, ESV, 2001/2016, Genesis 9:6). This displays how humans are to not take other people's lives. This displays that abortion is directly violating God and His commands. While abortion starts as a sensitive topic throughout the government, it develops quickly. With its ideas originating from Roe v. Wade, New York’s Reproductive Health Act allows more abortion-based freedom than ever before. This caused lots of controversy throughout society. There are constant ongoing arguments based on the value of a child and how much control a mother gets over her own body. Consequently, while New York’s Reproductive Health Act creates many questions about abortion, the Bible clearly states that it is wrong. The Lord values His children and never wants them to be harmed in any way. Furthermore, acts like New York’s Reproductive Health Act have opened doors to situations that are unethical for both society and the country. Allowing abortion to occur brings along problems such as mental health struggles for women and the deaths of innocent children.
