First man on the moon Astronaut, first man on the moon, and veteran pilot are three words that describe Neil Armstrong. Many people knew Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon, but he was so much more. As a well known astronaut Neil Armstrong inspired Americans to take risks. He has left a lasting legacy to show that we can do so much more as humans. The early life of Neil Armstrong’s childhood was impacted by his parents. His parents were an important part of his life. While living in ohio they raised him on a farm, this gave him many responsibilities while being a little kid. Armstrong parents also took him to the airshow because he was very fascinated by birds and planes taking off, this is why his parents where a big impact on his life and how they helped the outcome of Armstrong life, and helped us as a nation to find out more about what circles around us. The moon exploration also helped to relive our pain from the sad things in the 60’s to people getting drafted, bombing, and killed from racial discrimination. Armstrong attended Upper Sandusky Elementary school. Armstrong knew how to read when he was only in first grade,he also skipped two grades as a child and loved learning about birds and planes. Armstrong’s two best subjects were math and science. Armstrong liked to sing and eventually joined the glee club, when Armstrong was in high school he played the hon as an instrument.
