Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a nonviolence anti-apartheid activist, philanthropist, and politician. He was one of the most exceptional heroes who fought for the right and freedom of his people.

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela plays a part in creating the right and freedom in South Africa. He dismantles the ideology of the Apartheid by addressing institutionalized racism and encourage racial reconciliation through non-violence acts. Apartheid was a system of racial segregation that governed South Africa for nearly 50 years where white supremacism took over Africa. Non-whites had no political rights since they were not considered as citizens due to racist ideology. In 1944 he joined African National Congress (ANC) as this political party’s mission was to give voting rights to black and mixed-race Africans as well as end the Apartheid. African National Congress (ANC) including Nelson Mandela adopted a plan to spread awareness by boycotts, strikes, civil disobedience and other non-violent methods.

This act of awareness wasn’t enough and this got activists arrested including Mandela. However, was acquitted in 1961. Nelson knew it was time to start a radical approach than passive resistance. Nelson Mandela co-founded the group named “Spear of the nation” that was created to sabotage against the government or to simply overthrow the government however the guerrilla insurgency debate was discovered by police in 1961 July and brought them to a trail for sabotages, treason and violent conspiracy.

He helped bring awareness of apartheid being racially segregating the right of human by the colour of their skin. The awareness demonstrates Nelson’s persistence to fight for the right making him a symbolic leader of the anti-apartheid movement and motivation.
