Nepalese Culture Verse American Culture Nepal is a small country with a population of 27.8 million people. There are more than 123 languages spoken there. However, America is enormous in size, and the third largest country in the world with a population of 316.1 million people. There are more than 300 languages spoken in America. Nepalese culture is different from American culture in many ways. The Nepalese have their own culture and traditions. Nepal is a country with diverse ethnic groups with many religions and languages. In addition, the Nepalese are unique because of a rich culture and tradition. Hinduism and buddhism are the main religions of Nepal. For another example, women are allowed to stay home and do housework and babysitting. Men take care of outside work and bring food for the family. For example, American’s enjoy wearing strange clothes and have tattoos and body piercing. This culture is extremely independent, and like people to be different from each other. The predominant religion in America is Christianity. It is legal to buy a cigarette at the age of 18, and drink alcohol after 21years old. Lastly, most American women do not feel comfortable sitting at home and doing nothing. We are all human beings, but different in culture and traditions. In comparison, the Nepalese use word Nameste is a common expression. It used for greetings such as hello, good morning, and good night.
