There are a couple different themes in this book. One of the themes in this book is "new beginnings". The reason I say that this a theme in the book is that every time someone new enters The Glade they remember nothing but their name and that's it. When you enter The Glade no one knows you and you remember nothing about yourself, and from there you can make yourself into any kind of person you want. The next theme I found in this book was "bravery". I say bravery because you have these different characters risking their lives to save people they barely know. For example you have Thomas who risks his life to save the injured Alby, you have Alby giving his life to the Grievers to make sure that the rest of The Gladers make it safely, and finally
