Technology is an attribute in everyday society that is always developing and changing. Technology is a lot more than just electrons, technology is “the branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment, drawing upon such subjects as industrial arts, engineering, applied science, and pure science.” (Houghton Mifflin). This means that technology can be anything from agriculture, to electronics, and even social interactions. Throughout the hundreds of years, technology has changed into something we use for daily tasks, communication with one another, and how our world works from the past to present day.

The development of the plow was extremely important because it would allow the colonies to cover large pieces of land in a faster time. Horses or oxen would typically be used to pull the plow. Rich soil, good crops, and advances in agricultural technology would be very significant factors in the establishment of towns. Technology would progress to be how we would get a hold with each other. We will be able to just simply just pick up our fancy minicomputer that would be located just in all of our pockets; they would be called smart phones. Even the way we travel would be due to technological advancements such as cars, motorcycles, bus, trains and airplanes. Technology would make even the simplest task easier, such as mailing a letter would turn into sending the letter thought the internet. This would be called emailing; this development would allow us to commutation with others with other calling them. Another thing that came with emailing would be the internet that was able to tell you to look up lots of information without the need to go to the library. There was no need to read a book to just get that one piece of information, just have to search it and ten and thousands of scours will come up. Need to talk to someone in a different state or better yet someone in a whole different country? technology makes it possible for people get a hold of them by calling on home phones, cell phones, texting, and even video
