The organization I am choosing for this assignment is the New York Jets because I used to be a season ticket owner. The model that I am using here is Press Agentry and Publicity model. This type of model is a one- way communication model. The goal of the New York Jets organization is to some how draw in as many fans as possible to sell out their tickets every single game. Sports are something that is universal and draws interest to many different people across the country. The goal of this model is to advertise the benefits of becoming a season ticket owner, and to show all the excitement that happens when attending a New York Jets football game. They try to excite the audience on how special and fun it truly is to receive season tickets or just attend a game. The complex part about sports is that the team must perform well in order for them to draw in an audience to watch their games. As fans, we like to know we can rely on social media specifically to receive all kind of updates on our team and on anything going on in the stadium. Jets apparel is also something that draws people in. In the stadium there are many different shops where you can purchase hats, jerseys, t-shirts, pants/shorts, jackets, hoodies, etc. This is another effective strategy that persuades people to spend more money, which is the main goal the organization is trying to succeed.
