My goal as an author is to create pieces of prose and poetry that change world or at least make readers looks at the world in a whole new way. My obsession towards reading and writing is to get people to read. One of the pieces of literature which have influenced me to enhance my passions is William Morris’s News from Nowhere. The novel of News from Nowhere was written in 1890 by William Morris. In this utopian novel Morris, a tells a tale about a man by the name of William Guest who wakes up in the distant future to find the world has changed. In this new future, there is no private property, no industrialization, no money, no capitalist system. All members of society work co-operatively and take pleasure in their labor. It is a perfect utopian paradise. The novel showed me how novels can change the world. It showed me how the world could be. It doesn’t matter if I create amazing works of literature as long as I get people to read. I write in a variety of different genres to accomplish my goal. Therefore, I look up to authors such as James Patterson who write in many different genres in order to give people choices when it comes to reading. I like said before I enjoy writing in various genres and Clarkesworld Magazine affords me the opportunity to explore this side of my writing career. I have always felt that science fictions and fantasy are great mediums to explore like the other publications Crave and Tin House what it means to be human. Great authors like Philp K. Dick used science fictions to portray the problem not just of present-day society be the future societies. This is what like about Clarkesworld Magazine because it will help me to explore other aspects of my
