God has blessed me with every type of love: love of a teacher, love of a friend, love of family, and most importantly his love. Altogether, the love from my teachers, friends, parents, and Heavenly Father has shown me what love should be like, unconditional and limitless. Their examples of love have inspired me to spread my love also. Not only to my family, but also the entire community.
Volunteerism positively reflects an individual's character, showing others of their benevolence and compassion. Because of the Young Women's Auxiliary, I have had opportunities to show gratitude and fruitfulness toward my elders and peers. The YWA sponsors several events in my hometown, such as breast cancer walks, community gatherings, and visiting the ill within the community to praise and worship with them. Additionally, at the Sunday School Institute, I was able to work alongside my peers as we taught younger children Bible verses and praise and worship songs. The key purpose of the Sunday School Institute is to influence and inspire children to be more open minded and outgoing about their love for God. I am able to help do so by being an example for the children and a role model to them. I volunteer each Sunday to be the Mistress of Ceremony, leading the entire program and encouraging the children to express their beliefs in front of an audience. The children can use the skills learned on Sundays and apply them to their everyday lives, struggling less with public speaking and becoming stronger in their faith. Standing at the center of love, gratefulness, and faith feels empowering. Everybody deserves love and needs love in order to survive. That love could come from anyone, but I am grateful for the love I receive from others as well as my ability to love them in return. I wish to further spread my love in the future, and participating in community service helped me realize that I want to spend my life helping others, doing things that could make a sick person’s day better, help them to feel cared for, and stay positive as they heal.
