Characters in the story are what make the story to be alive with the Nick Carraway as the narrator of the novel as this story was told solely based by Nick. He is a young man from Minnesota and a graduate from Yale. After joining in World War 1, he goes to learn about the born business in New York. Nick is an honest and tolerant man. Also, he is willling to reserve judgement as he always serves as a confidant for people with problematic secrets. After he moved to West Egg. Nick quickly befriends with the neighbor who lives next door to him, Jay Gatsby. Nick was the one who makes the love between Jay Gatsby and and Daisy Buchanan, his cousin, possible. Myrthe is the type who wants hef life to be better and not living in the same situation as therefore he chose Tom to be his lover. Unfortunately, Tom just treat her as a woman to satisfy his lust. Myrtle’s `husband, George Wilson is a lifeless man. George really loves Myrthle however dissapointed with her affair with Tom. George was very sad when Myrthle was killed.
