Nickelodeon The ad I choose was a Nickelodeon ad, which is intended for kids. A little background about the ad I choose, Nickelodeon station got started back in December of 1997, Nickelodeon then branches off and started expanding to different cable companies, such as Warner's cable system. From there it quickly expanded its system very rapidly through the way it conveyed it messages and many audiences then begin to watch Nickelodeon. Starting off Nick seemed to be a powerhouse but it wasn't all perfect, they had their fair shares of problems just like any other company, Nickelodeon had a loss 10 million dollars around 1984. It seems to me that a lot of parents will find this technique persuasive due to the fact that their child will always have things to watch on Nickelodeon, even when they get older. The use of colors really draws kids attention as the kids develop. This is a great strategy in regards to getting the ad to appeal to the group it's intended for and it's great for them in a sense of marketing. The ad is also, appealing due to the use of multiple characters and different types of characters which is also a good strategy mainly because it keeps the intended audience active and never bored because they get to know the characters really well and get involved with learning new things. This is a good strategy to have when trying to make a quality ad. Last, but not least Nick has a lot of things for the audience and it goes back to keeping the audience entertained and never bored, it keeps everything that's going on fresh. All of these are good marketing, appealing strategies, and are the main reasons as to why Nick is as successful and as powerful as they are. They were able to appeal to the minds of young kids which has caused them to be a dominant force in the world as we know today.I think it is important that parents allow their kids to watch channels such as Nickelodeon because it offers so much for kids whether they are young or in their teenage years. Kids are capable of learning from TV shows, it is proven that if the kid gets involved with the characters, it will be easier for a kid to repeat what the characters are
