On the daily basis, I think I would be preparing DNA sequence template, PCR amplifications, gel electrophoresis and sequencing data analysis. I would have to strictly follow SOPs and manager’s direction. I need to also check the inventory and order more supplies, I need to prepare buffers and other solutions. When I wake up early in the morning, I feel extremely tired. Therefore a night shift would be better for me. Also, my schedule would be very flexible during the date, and I would be freely to do anything during the day. I think the night-time shift may reduce the time I meet up with friends because they work during the day. However, except for that, it wouldn’t affect me that much. 3.
