In the article, "How Nike Solved Its Sweatshop Problem," published on the website intended for working Americans called "Busines Insider" on May 9th, 2013, author Max Niesen discusses the various ways Nike has attempted to redeem itself despite multiple allegations and controversies regarding their use of sweatshops and child labor. There are many facts in the article describing some of the ways the company has seemingly gotten itself back on track, and has apologized and learned from previous mistakes. Max Niesen states his opinion clearly when he says, "Nike has managed to turn its image around." He suggests that though Nike has been in trouble with others for outsourcing work, the fact remains that so have other companies- Nike is just so well-known. In his appeal to Ethos, Niesen indicates that many, many groups and individuals have complained and contacted Nike in relation to the rumors and facts heard throughout a lengthy timeline. These complaints led to Nike auditing and researching their vast amount of employees, which led to 600 factory audits between 2002 and 2004.
