Todd Olson Davis, Katie Hour 1 9 October 2017 Is there a reason for no girls in Lord of the Flies In the novel, Lord of the Flies, written by William Golding, there is a plane crash that causes a group of young boys to be stranded on an island, away from adults and civilization. Their time on the island brings out the worst in the boys. Lord of the Flies examines how they went from order to chaos. Golding uses their behavior to show that mankind is inherently evil and that there's no hope for humanity. The novel talks about Inherent evil of humans and its shown in murder and beatings, but after reading the book a question is brought up; what if it were girls on the island not guys, what would happen.
