University of Carolina-Chapel Hill (UNC), the nation’s first university, is a leader in global higher education. The department that interests me the most is the Environmental Sciences and Engineering department, because math and science has always been something I was interested by and excelled in. UNC’s Environmental Sciences and Engineering department focuses on the interface between people and the environment. They try to determine how these two components relate and interact with one another at the moment. The department is very interdisciplinary due to its work with air quality and atmospheric processes, human exposure and health effects, and sustainable water resources.
