Before I enrolled at North Dakota State University, I studied at Normandale Community College where I graduated with a degree in Associates of Liberal Arts. I attended this university from August 2014 to July 2016. The classes that I took at Normandale that transferred for my future major of Construction Management were: Pre-Calc, College Comp II, Applied Calculus, Intro to Statistics, Intro to Psychology, Physical Geology Humanities Elective, Human & Diversity, Wellness, and Fundamentals of Public Speaking. • For Pre-Calc, it was very comparable to trigonometry and it dealt with angle measure, trigonometric identities, trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions and equations, polar coordinates and applications
• Applied Calculus was a course that dealt with derivatives, integrals, limits, exponential and logarithmic functions and applications. Prerequisites was Pre-Calc.
• Intro to Statistics was a course that I took in the summer that dealt with probability, tests of hypotheses, confidence intervals, contingency tables, histograms and much more.
At Normandale I had to take College Algebra to take before I could take of any these courses because it was a prerequisite to Pre-Calc and Intro to Statistics. Overall, I took all the Mathematics courses needed for my degree at Normandale, so it would be something to be worried about when I transferred to North Dakota State

Also, completed fieldwork with operations of automatic levels, laser levels, and transit theodolites. This class increased my skills in communication from when we were operating the surveying equipment out in the field to ensure the data points we were getting were correct.
• Pre-Construction Management- this class taught the overview of estimating, scheduling, and administrative functions of a project and the importance of collaboration among all parties.
• Construction Estimating: Quantities and Costs - this class consisted of introduction to conceptual methods and techniques and detailed construction estimating including: quantity takeoffs, costs related to labor, equipment, materials, and bidding strategies. This class improved my skills in communication among team members, teamwork, and attention to detail. This class had a project that affected all these areas where as group we had to bid on small bank by estimating how much it would cost to
