North Korea Hacked Sony The advancement of technology is changing the way nations can target each other without the use of military warfare. Technology has introduced the era of cyber-attacks which can damage another nation’s computers and information without even setting foot in the nation. The November 24, 2014, Sony hack attack was a demonstration of attacks the new era has encountered. Sony Corporation was hacked and 100 terabytes were stolen and destroyed. The company never recovered the information of employee files, emails, salaries and movies. The hack lead to many unanswered questions on who was behind the hack. Investigations by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI) lead to a suspicion North Korea was behind the hack. North Korea hacked Sony Corporations because Sony is a company from Japan. The United States, Japan, and South Korea are North Korea’s biggest enemies.
