Korean War is one of the well-known proxy wars in the period of Cold War. After World War II had been ended, Korean Peninsula was divided in half along the thirty-eighth parallel. That is North Korea and South Korea. North Korea, led by Kim Il Sung, was backed by the Soviet Union, the leader-state of the communist world while South Korea, led by Syunman Rhee, was supported by the United States, the leader-state of liberal democracy world. The war began after North Korea invaded South Korea, and had the tendency to seize all of South Korea.
