The novel Legend by Mari Lu stands out from others. Mari Lu uses a protagonist and antagonist to add a conflict in her novel. Doing this shows that “narratives contain a primary protagonist, who is the focus of the narration. In contrast, antagonists are usually portrayed in a negative fashion, and thus, viewers may feel a sense of counter empathy toward them”(Magliano 1). The antagonist should be at least the equal in strength of the protagonist, and preferably stronger.

Free will, free will, free will. (epizeuxis) Marie-Laure, Werner, and everyone else in this world has free will, but it is a matter of how constrained one is to use that power to their own discretion. In the book, All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr, one of the main characters, Werner, does have his own free will, but to a certain extent. Not only does that rely on the the continued perfection of the character interactions that the writers have presented, but it is very limiting for a piece of visual entertainment. The reason that people watch a show instead of simply hearing or reading about it is due to its visual elements, and all the advantages that it brings. For “The Wire” to continue its uniqueness would require it to forgo anything not already shown or anything that occured before the show to delegate to characters simply talking about it. This issue is compounded because of the show’s strong use of shocking visuals, such as the leg of the man that Omar shoots with his shotgun, which the director was quite willing to show. To deprive other moments of this same treatment simply because they happened in the past seems like a waste.
Human character is a very difficult concept to get a handle on as it is remarkable to each person and is formed by the way of life and the occasions that happen in one's life. Human character is the main component of one's actions which can change depending upon the circumstance that one is in, for instance, regardless of if their lives are at stake or their self-control is weak. This thought is communicated in many examples of writing and is superbly communicated in a book by Anthony Doerr that depicts World War II. In All the Light We Cannot See, Anthony Doerr demonstrated that human character can change and evolve based upon various challenges. Anthony Doerr's book, All the Light We Cannot See, goes along with a visually impaired young
