In “Nothing But The Truth” we are projected into the mind of a ninth-grader, Phillip Malloy. Throughout the story, Phillip creates a deep hate for his teacher Ms. Narwin, eventually leading to him breaking a rule in her class and being suspended by the assistant principal. His parents subsequently ramp the story up until it reaches the national news where the teacher was blamed for the suspension by the entire country.
