His parents, Flore Stern and Leo Klein, Austro-Hungarian immigrants, always knew he would turn out on top. Molly Stern, Klein’s grandmother (and seamstress), taught Calvin all of the basics and rules of tailoring and fitting, she was the person he acquired his love for sewing from. His family obviously helped him grow into the man and fashion designer everyone knows and loves today, they were a big part of his rise to fame. He has become so popular and adored by his customers that he is able to buy a $25 million mansion (which he did) without any worries of what it will do to his pocket. From 1968 to now, Klein has gained so much popularity and everyone seems to worship his simplistic and clean designs. Everyone must like his earthy tones and the laid back approach to all of his clothing for them to buy it so much and so often. His “ck” logo is a known and glorified way to spot Klein’s clothing, even though most of his clothing, jewelry, fragrances, and watches are already well-known. Phillips-Van Heusen now owns Calvin Klein Incorporation, but consumers only have Klein to thank. Without Calvin Klein, where would be the “nothing comes between me and my Calvins” slogan and what would Kendall Jenner actually post about on Instagram? The answer is nothing. All of these celebrities post about Klein and wear Klein because it looks sophisticated and he is a respected designer. He has roughly 1000-5000 employees and most of them would say they enjoy their job, even for being retailing.
